Google announces Universal App Campaigns for iOS and 2 billion app installs via ads, just like Facebook


Google offers a plethora of cloud services that mobile developers can use to power their apps. With Firebase, which it acquired in 2014, it already offered developers a dedicated platform and SDK for building mobile apps; today it is greatly expanding this service by launching a number of new features and integrating the service deeper into the rest of its cloud tools. At its I/O developers conference today, the company announced Firebase Analytics, a free new tool that wll give you a better sense of how people are actually using your apps. Additionally, Firebase is getting new features including cloud messaging, which lets developers push messages to users through their apps; online storage powered by Google Cloud Storage; and the ability to tweak your app on the fly.Google also revealed that over the past year, it has more than doubled the volume of app installs driven by ads. Specifically, the company has delivered over 2 billion app downloads to developers.
